Who We Are

SAD/TSA Welfare & Rec. was founded in 2024 at the Central Processing Center (CPC), previously known as the San Diego Detention Area (SAD), during a time when many Border Patrol Agents (BPA) and Border Patrol Processing Coordinators (BPPC) were facing personal hardships. What began as a small internal effort to help one another through fundraising quickly evolved into something bigger.

We came together with a shared purpose to support our own. That grassroots initiative led us to formally establish our MWR and apply for official 501c - 3 nonprofit status. With our EIN secured and by-laws approved, we began expanding our support through the sale of custom coins, pins, apparel, hats, patches, flags, stickers, and more all designed to raise funds for morale and relief efforts.

As demand and support grew, we began assisting agents not only in San Diego Sector but also across the country. When CPC operations moved to Barracks 5 (BK5) at the Chula Vista Station in 2025, we continued our mission under the name SDC BK5 MWR, staying true to our original purpose.

Every dollar raised goes directly toward agent morale, hardship assistance, mental health, youth scholarships and sponsoring local youth activities.

Thank you for your continued support!
